"I see independent Pentecostal churches with their own network of ministries as the future. They will raise under the leadership of an anointed pastor, and they will fall when the church takes on the characteristics of a denomination in the name of sustainability."
So do I.
I have never met Kevin, but I can sympathize with his experience. _________________ Charles A. Hutchins

Kevin's explanation was quite articulate, informational & believable.
If all the truths were told there are many guys who have backed out of doing something similar to what Pastor Wallace has already done, which is ...he moved on.
There are a lot of guys who can't pull the trigger to move on because at the end of the day there is a price to pay, good & bad.
I did it over 30 years ago & it cost me a lot back then & to some degree still does. The black ball seems to hover when needed.
My wife & I don't carry any hard feelings or grudges against those who have let's say, wore their feelings & expressions openly.
To some degree it can be debated that the CoG doesn't always fit the large church model for a variety of reasons.
On the flip side my daughter & son in-law have been on staff at a very large indie & they have their own set of challenges as well.
At the end of the day a pastor has to live by his own convictions & do what the Lord has spoken to him & impressed upon him to do.
Nobody can judge Bishop Wallace unless they have endured his trials & challenges first hand.

People say the craziest things with no events, especially behind a pen name.
It amazes me to think that people think a pastor leaving a denomination that they have loved and served don’t come with heavy cost. You lose a lifetime of investment, You lose relationships, You lose some mentors and you lose the respect of people that don’t understand. There is no way this is done without it hurting on both sides. _________________ DOW MOSES |
