Any idea of who might end up as state overseers out west after the GA? (PNW, Ca/Nv, Az, NM, etc.) Friendly Face

No idea at this point. In NM/EP, we typically get overseers for four years max, and youth directors typically for less than that. [Insert Acts Pun Here]

I keep hearing from multiple sources that these are slated to go out as an overseer:

Youth Director of Western North Carolina
Youth Director of Tennessee
Youth Director of Alabama
Pastor from South Alabama
Pastor from South Carolina

You may be close. I have heard the same names, but if we are thinking about the same Alabama pastor, that is not happening. I talked to him this week personally. His church is growing like crazy. He is in the process of buying a new house and is placing deep roots. Trust me on that one. Also, the Tennessee director is set up to move 15 miles up the road as assistant international in 2020, if he stays in Tennessee.

I don’t doubt that a man from the southeast can have an effective ministry in western states. But I think it’s a shame we use the western regions as stepping stones for ambitious YD’s who want to break into AB positions. Yet another evidence that our leadership is so out of touch with the average pastor and local church.

Nevertheless , Go West “young” man!

There was this young talented man from Florida who came to the west coast to be our AB & he was not only very successful but became extremely popular.
You might know his name ...Mark Williams Shocked

Most guys who come to the west never want to leave.
We have the best weather in the world & this place is a true mission field.

I hear that you YD is enjoying his ministry in NM.
I've known Chuck since he was in Junior Church at My dad's church in Marysville, CA.
A few years later when I came back home for a visit he was an active teen in the youth ministry.
The entire family are gifted, loving people.

Chuck is a great YD, a great guy and a great friend. I’ve had the pleasure of serving on the NM/EP youth board with him for the past four years. I have prayed that it be otherwise, but it appears we are losing him to another state at the Assembly. Youth camp has gotten better and better each year under Chuck’s excellent leadership. I have asked God for a miracle, that we could keep him here somehow.

Chuck grew up going to some of the best northern Calif youth camps ever imagined by wonderful YDs.
He clearly remembers how to have fun as a kid & learn about God in a wholesome atmosphere.
You're right though, he is an excellent leader.

I do not know this minister, but I like the comments. Makes me proud knowing he was selected and served. Youth Camp was my favorite COG happening. I attended the first NC 'Boy's Camp'. I remember wonderful Youth directors. Kids see and kids can learn.

Good for Brother Chuck...... Cool Cool

Post I cannot tell you where I am going JLarry
I cannot announce the state I am going to be the AB over until the end of the Assembly.

Well if you insist. I am going to the state of confusion.
