Post Driving Mr. Charlie, my newest release (link) Mark Ledbetter
THIS ACCOUNT IS ABOUT A JOURNEY down a path of memories bringing joy and laughter on occasions, and sadness as well; it is about the memories of my father, Charles Ledbetter, who was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia. Many knew him as Charlie, or Mr. Charlie, but I called him Pop the latter years of our lives together. For some my father’s story may seem somber, yet it reflects real emotions and thoughts regarding something that is growing, especially with the “Graying of America” – dementia.

There are things the average COG family never thought they would face. The first was divorce. The second was drugs. Now Alzheimer jumps up, not in the category of divorce or drugs,. but an area that can attack the best of people.
Unfortunately my wife and I have faced and lived with divorce in our sons lives. Then Drugs in both of their lives. Actions caused by bad decisions and leaving God's protection is the root.. BUT THIS????

My mother a saint, suffered dementia. We took her into our home. We shared the care giving with my sister. Mama was a child of God, no more dedicated person ever lived, but she fell victim.

Now I have one sibling living, a sister. She is being attacked by this. It could be me next, even before settling my sister's situation. In that respect GP, you are certainly right. Embarassed Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad
