Why Your Singing Matters Even If You Think You Can’t Sing (L) |
Dave Dorsey |
I realize this article is probably preaching to the choir on this site (pun intended!), but perhaps it could be a resource for others:
https://www.challies.com/sponsored/why-your-singing-matters-even-if-you-think-you-cant-sing
This paragraph stood out to me:
Quote: | Your voice matters because the true beauty of such a congregational choir comes from all of our voices and our hearts being knit together in praise. It is exhilarating to be part of a body of believers singing truth together. Your voice may not be of professional standard, but it is of confessional standard. |
Some of the most beautiful and moving moments I have experienced in church recently have been caused by the realization that the band stopped playing several bars back, and God's people have just been singing together a capella, ministering their praise not only to the Father but also to each other. |

I have a person who is very close kin to me who has sung professionally that I wish could digest this. LOL And THAT, in the true spirit of worship!
THIS IS GOOD! Thanks... _________________ Some facts but mostly just my opinion!

I am here trying to explain this to my wife (not the professional singer BTW) about my sore ribs during singing. Her only silly defense is, "BUT you are singing louder than every one else, off key and on the wrong verse!"
I tell her that is a little picky! _________________ Some facts but mostly just my opinion!
