REVIEW: The Greatest Showman... |
Aaron Scott |
Perhaps the most awesome movie I have seen in the last few years. This is Broadway (it's a musical) brought to even bigger life on the big screen (do NOT attempt to watch this on anything other than the big screen--it's that good).
All I can say is that it ROCKS. It's about as good as I've seen at the movies. It's funny...it's serious...it's tough...it's tender. In fact, I wish that the Church could do something like this with such excellence, but that spoke/sung the gospel.
In any case, I recommend you see it. |

I enjoyed it overall. I did take note of the "tolerance" undertone with the trans theme (was that Rue Paul?), but I counter that with his actual faithfulness to his wife and devotion to family over career. The music was fantastic and Jackman's voice has improved since Les Mis (or was it just better auto-tuners?). Overall, I agree, it was a great movie, definitely one to see on the big screen with good sound. |
