For those detractors that say Trump does not do what Judeo Christian supporters want him to do - add this to the earlier Supreme Court pick.

Neither would have happened with Obama, McCain, Romney, Clinton.

Thank you Mr. President.

Religious significance aside, they are our strongest allies in the middle east and I believe in their right to call their own historical city, named by them, their capital. Well done Mr. President!

Why do Christian supporters want the capitol in Jerusalem?
Does this mean OTCP wants it in Jerusalem?
Is this woffie theology or mainstream?

will be if Trump recognizes Taiwan. China sure won't like that, but at some point, after, what 75 years or so of independence, you have to at least recognize it...and if they want to get back together, fine. Hon. Dr. in Acts-celeratology

Why?

Your Presidential fave Carter removed recognition in 1979.

Up until then the US DID recognize Tiawan.

They never had to declare independence, Taiwan is the legitimate government of China, not the other way around. We sold out the democratic government because we had a socialist president then too.

But to your point, yes, that will be GREAT if Trump recognizes Taiwan. Its time the West stopped apologizing for freedom and Democracy.

Yeah, I see nothing "Christian" about this one way or another.

When you have two entities claiming to be the head of China...and one resides in and controls the all of mainland China...and the other resides in and control the island of Taiwan, then, just as Taiwan should be recognized for NOT being under the leadership of Bejing, so, too, is China recognized as not being under the leadership of Taipei.

Also, consider that Mao "won" China from Kai-chek's leadership through war. If FDR/Truman was a socialist (which is what anyone is called when they start bothering the wealthy class), then we need more socialists (even if I don't agree with all they did--e.g., firing MacArthur).

Just my take. I realize you see it different.

FDR sided with Socialists at every turn, I realize that's an inconvenient fact, but its true, and his Keynesian economic policies have been a drain on our economy ever since. And no we don't need more of them, but that's just my lowly, unpopular opinion these days. Golf Cart Mafia Consigliere

I think the inconvenient truth is that from way back--even when some were trying to demand safe working conditions, shorter hours, overtime pay, etc.--these people were called "socialists." Anything, it seems, that forces the wealthy class to have to do something for the common man (since they wealthy class seldom do it without being forced to), the wealthy call it "socialism," "anarchy," or "communism."

As for Keynesian economic policies, at the time, that was thought to have been the way out. Today, we have a modified view of deficit spending, etc., but back then it seemed that that was what was needed.

Your opinion is not wrong...or right. Like mine (SMILE).

I'm not wealthy and that's what I call it. I accept that the work-hours/conditions became better, but that was before FDR, while there were some good in early years, the Unions became, in-fact, mini communist enclaves. This coming from someone raised to be a Republican by a life-long, blue-collar union Reagan democrat who saw the strong-armed tactics of the union bosses who made all the money and sold all the power for their own profit, just like their big brothers abroad.

I have not read, nor do I understand the world views where other world leaders tell Trump Don't Do IT! I see no problem with Israel minding their own business and ALSO protecting them selves. I will not argue God's People or Not God's people. All I know is that Israel is one solid country in their own defense. They are definitely our strongest ally in the area and IMHO can be trusted. I have no problem with siding/assisting Israel politically. Cool Or militarily if necessary! Idea

Look for Hagee to come out with a new series on how this definitely fulfills biblical prophecy. Book and movie to follow. [Insert Acts Pun Here]

Okay, I took a little time to try to make sense of this to me. The only thing that impresses me is Trump promised it and appears to be going to put his actions where his mouth is.
Bush, Clinton and Obama said the same, BUT DID NOT DO IT when MORE DEAD promises were made by the Arab sector.

NOW he is an $OB by some of the very ones who were saying AMEN! I despise strict party politics. Embarassed

Cojak, what in the world is a $OB? Is this a ordained bishop who is in the ministry for the money?

CA is much closer than he realized with his bit a fun poking here.

My anti-woffie anonymous sources in the Knesset most definitely wanted Jerusalem over Tel Aviv. Once I got the word from em, I immediately texted President Trump, who assured the ole timer that it was as good as done.

Is it right for a foreign power to own land in Jerusalem and for that land to be considered a part of a Gentile nation, under the sovereignty of a Gentile nation? Is it right if there is an idolatry that (hypothetically) Israelites are preparing to stone according to the Torah, that he can run to some land owned by a foreign country and escape his punishment?
