since 2000. Yet, the membership remains at 6 million. What are happening to these folks getting saved in our churches? Friendly Face

I don’t know, maybe pastors aren’t getting new converts to take actual membership?

Don't want to pay TOT - so new converts are asked not to join.

More going out the back door than is coming in the front door.
New saved people might not like to make changes over night or existing clubs might not have approved of their membership.

Not being able to take a drink may be a problem for some.
Sounds like some study needs to be done.

Perhaps we should count presently active disciples who testify to having experienced being converted/born of the Spirit in the past year instead of counting everybody who comes forward in an altar call and repeats a ‘sinner’s prayer.’ [Insert Acts Pun Here]

One reason I take such "statistics" with a grain of salt

NOw I don't know about every week. But I did get 'saved' every revival or when daddy preached on the 'second coming' and I didn't want to be left behind. I actually stayed close to mama, cause if anyone was going she was. I was going to grab onto her legs and feet as she left out.

Now that is the truth and I was very convicted most times I got 'saved'. But mine never lasted over two weeks, before I said a bad word and I knew I was going to hell, but I just knew I would have another chance to get it right!

TRUE CONFESSIONS

I don't remember holding up my hand to be counted as saved, so I don't know if the evangelist or daddy counted me or not. Confused
