Post The Veterans Family Cojak
If you mention the veteran in the pulpit. Put in a good word for his family. It is sorta like a preacher's wife, it is hard to separate the wife from her husband's call.
I have left my family on deployment. I was fortunate to have an accompanied tour in GITMO once. Most deployments the wife and kids do not get to go. And if they do it is seldom the spouse will travel with the service member. She must go it alone. She must pack the household goods, get to the airport, ship a car while all the time feeding the kids and taking of mundane stuff like school activities, washing the car and doing laundry.

Anyway the one left behind sheds a lot of tears and faces a lot of stress. They also deserve a little recognition in supporting that person who has sworn to defend this great country.

Just saying.....
