Not making an official report to law enforcement can come back to bite one, evidently. This could be plain ignorance or stupidity. One never knows. But it most likely is going to have big repercussions. Crying or Very sad

Sad shore nuff!

Hey, here in Pikeville, if a thing like this happens we always call the authorities an report it. Course, by the time the authorities arrive, they ain't a whole lot left for em to do. Matter a fact, they aint a whole lot a the feller who commited the deed left at all.

These things are always terrible, and never should have happened. The judgment of God shall no doubt be severe for such criminal abuse. [Insert Acts Pun Here]

Post The "we know better" ... Mat
The "we know better" approach this church committee took, instead of contacting law enforcement and child protection agencies immediately once this was reported to them, will result in lawsuits against the church and against the members of the committee and the governing board. Many of them will have criminal records and the viability of the church in the long term is now in doubt.

In such cases I have dealt with in the past, the insurance company often tells us that as long as you followed proper policies and the law we will back you up. However, from the facts presented in the article, the insurance company may part ways with the church to cut their losses. The committee members and governing board of the church may have to pay for their own legal defense. After all is said and done, I guess they will be able to say, "we know better..now!"

Rumor has it, little pieces of him were buried all over them hills.

I'm sorry but these church officials need to be held accountable for this. This child was hurt mentally, physically and spiritually because of what this person did.

There is a particularly troubling case that is currently underway in Michigan, involving a (now-former) CoG youth pastor. If the girl’s allegations are true, and the pastor and church leadership in fact did what has been reported, I have to say it is absolutely terrible and totally inexcusable. [Insert Acts Pun Here]
