Post Our RV Life Cojak
Book #12 is about Our RV Life. WE are gypsy Members of the COG but our home church does get our offerings and tithe.
If you are interested in living in an RV upon retirement this is some good information.

http://shipslog-jack.blogspot.com/2017/10/our-rv-life-new-book.html

The book is only 140, pages large print and is available on Amazon at $7.25 (Prime) or 99 cents as an e-book.

We have been full time in our RV for over 20 years now. I remember meeting Brother Grooms of NC. On a weekend campout. He stayed free in the state parks and held services on Sunday. During the day he cleaned some sites as they were vacated to pay for his site.. He told me, long before we were in an RV, that this camping ministry had been the most rewarding of his life.

Our Camp Ground pastor in Florida averaged well over 100 in every service. Many full timers still consider him their pastor. He was retired from the Alliance Church. He constantly reminded the folks attending to remember their pastor and church back home with their finances. before giving at the camp service. The offerings were his, but more than paid for his camp site.

Anyway living in an RV can be more expensive than living in a home, BUT it can be VERY reasonable with the right arrangements.

From our RV presently in Florida.....

We have about worn the song out, at least one line of it. Sorta like driving into Georgia, We always sing 'Georgia on My Mind.'

But you should write the book! Wink

I say that to many folk. I am surprised at the number of preachers with very interesting lives (Most are, methinks), who do not write a book once they retire. Every preacher could fill a book with interesting, and some crazy stuff. I wish my dad was still alive, I would love to help him write a book.

Anyway, Thanks Carolyn! It was a fun write retracing some memories, but I do prefer to write wholesome fiction. Embarassed

Ha! Maybe one of these days I will. I'd have to get the travelogue letters I sent to my best friend, as I have long since forgotten details.

I did start a book about some of our life experiences and some of the writings God has given me in my prayer time. I need to get back to that. In fact, I just entered one of the writings in Senior Talent. Wink

I've gotta quit saying, "Someday!" You are awesome, Cojak! So proud of you!

I'm smiling. This book, 'Our RV Life' I started 4 years ago. While on the /eastern shore I thought, I started a book a year of so ago about the RV life. I laughed out loud when I noted the date when I looked at the manuscript, it was OVER 4 years ago I had started it.

I took a bug a week or so ago and have been down. I have a child's book I want to publish, I had just started it a week ago. Now I have to get back to it. My life was kids and I have only written one ,'Children's book.'

I shy away, because as YOU KNOW, children are wonderful to teach and entertain, but to put that in words is tough. I think of you and your hubs often when I think of kids.

Cool

Congratulations on your new book. I purchased the e-book version from Amazon and l am thrilled. I would encourage everyone on Actscelerate to show their support and purchase a copy for themselves and send one as a gift. As soon as I am done reading it I will give you a good review and share it on my social media. I have also followed your Amazon Author page and can't wait for your next book. Golf Cart Mafia Soldier
