 Speak for Yourselves! I have no Poster Boy! |

| While I respect my brethren in ministry, OTCP has no POSTER BOY he follows. Too many times, fellers, too many times, my confidence was in a preacher, only to be let down at the speed of gravity. They is ministers I love and appreciate and respect, but follow? ......................... Not any more. Only Jesus is to be emulated. |

I looked up the definition of "poster boy" and one definition I found, which is what I assume aprilmay meant is this:
post·er boy.
NOUN
NORTH AMERICAN
a man who epitomizes or represents a specified quality, cause, etc.:
"he is the poster boy for stress" ·
"he's been anointed country rock's poster boy"
In context, that would mean that Kevin Wallace was a pastor and preacher who epitomized Church of God pastors and preachers. That would be a compliment, I would think.
But yes, human beings can disappoint. |

You are right, Miss Bonnie, an this is what was mean't by the poster-boy thread. An this is no disrespect to Rev. Wallace, but if what is implied is "STYLE OF PREACHING," then the suggestion simply ain't true. If you take 10 COG preachers, you might have 2-3 what preaches with a Kevin Wallace style. This don't mean at Wallace's style is bad, negative or not attractive, it means it is simply ONE STYLE among many what makes up the COG. |

I know the poster boy for Dunce of Actscelerate....but I can't say it at the risk of getting banned. He didn't ask for it, he didn't get a degree for it...he just is.
