Post Serious Question About WOF Teaching, Cancer, Medicine, Death Old Time Country Preacher
Serious question here.

Hyper-WOF teaching is that healing is a done deal, we just gotta have faith.
Jesus is the healer, medicine is not frowned upon.
Per Gloria Copeland, when a physical symptom occurs, medicine is not the answer, but the believer should resist/rebuke/refuse to accept the symptom, because the symptom is a lying spirit from the devil.

Yet, the following WOF luminaries died from cancer, or recovered--not via the power of faith, but by medicine.

Can you boys help me understand this?

Buddy Harrison (Kenneth E. Hagin’s son-in-law) died of cancer. Buddy taught and practiced for over twenty years the WOF dogmas regarding faith, why wasn’t he healed?

Mack Timberlake, another WOF televangelist got cancer and he died.

Peggy Capps, Charles Capps wife got cancer and survived due to medical treatment, even though Charles adamantly proclaimed the power of the creative word.

Betty Price, Fred Prices wife, got cancer was medically treated and survived.

Joyce Meyer, another WOF “maven” revealed on a televised broadcast that she had breast cancer and was going to believe God for her healing but her family urged her to obtain medical help and she did, she is cancer-free today.

Jan Crouch and her bout with cancer (and medical treatment), an neither Oral Roberts or Benny Hinn, two of the most widely acknowledged men who are allegedly used by God to heal multitudes, could help Jan or any of the others mentioned.

Tammy-Faye Bakker Mesner passed from cancer.

Kenneth Hagin used to tell a story how EW Kenyon ate lunch, went into his living room, sat in his rocking chair, his daughter walked in and Kenyon exclaimed “there’s Jesus good-bye” and entered into heaven. However, none of the WOF leaders acknowledge that Kenyon died of a cancerous tumor.

T.L. Osborn’s wife Daisy died from cancer.

No one can explain it. If one truly believes that all sickness is healed or rebuked by faith, then naturally a believer would not die.

I have never heard or paid any attention to what is called WOF ministers, but it is such a simple question, surely they have an answer.

the standard answer here is if you have a question of the General Overseer or council, Lee College leaders, etc and their decisions, call 'em up and ask.

If old Copeland has a phone, call him or his office, they might could answer it. Ain't no one here gona answer it to your satisfaction. Or mine either for that matter. Let me know what you find out. Okay? Cool

Post Then why even pray for healing?? Musicman4him
So God wills who should be healed and who should not? If this is the case, then why even pray for someone to be healed? Just say "NO, we cant pray for you because its all in GOD's hands"
If we preach that "Healing is provided in the atonement", then we should activly strive to believe God for that.

Post I guess then you don't need to pray for anyone's brotherjames
salvation or witness to them either, since it is God's will that none should perish. Acts-celerater

I didn't ask yall should we pray for healin, hey, ats a no brainer. The good Book says to pray fer healin.

My specific question is:

Given WOF teachin that healin is a done deal, a right of every Chrsitian, medicine aint the answer, but Jesus is the only answer?

Why did all these folk die with cancer what believed it so strongly?

Why did them that preach "all ya need is Jesus," when they got cancer, they turned to the medical community?

Because the word CANCER scares the tar out of anyone. I hate that word. And scared and drowning you ask for prayer AND ask for a doctor (MOST OF THE TIME). anything THAT MIGHT HELP even a weak branch.

Shocked I have no problem with it because they that said that KNEW! Learned that In the end, your word, your faith, your belief is not the answer, it is all up to Him. Life is really in His hands. When he calls, your words are useless. Or that is my opinion. I do not need an apology from them. I answer for me They answer for themselves. Cool
