But we know for a fact he was older than a teenager when he made the remarks.
He was around 60 years old. Please tell me decent 50 to 60 year old men don't joke about sexually assaulting women!
If people want to vote for him because they think it is worse to have Hillary as president, that is up to the dictates of the conscience of the individual voting, but why do people, evangelical Christians no less, try to dismiss Trump's words and behavior? Is it just not possible to say, "I condemn his terrible attitude toward women, his adultery, his lewd comments, but I am voting for him because I think Hillary will do more damage to our country."
His attitude toward women is not the only thing that makes him unfit for president, either.
(Btw, regardless of how virtuous or sleazy a woman's past, she has traditionally gotten trashed if she made an accusation of sexual assault. That is why there are "rape shield laws." I'm not saying all the women accusing Trump are being honest, but that's a side trail I'm trying to avoid on this thread.)

Regarding Trump I have no problem making this statement:
"I condemn his terrible attitude toward women, his adultery, his lewd comments, but I am voting for him because I think Hillary will do more damage to our country." His attitude toward women is not the only thing that makes him unfit for president, either.

Bonnie, for what it might be worth, I haven't heard any Christians worth a grain of salt say they excuse his actions or his words. Now if you have then go ahead & show us the folks who have said it.

If Hillary were only guilty of a terrible attitude toward men, adultery & lewd comments but she were a straight up democrat w/out an agenda to harm this republic ...I would consider giving her a vote if the GOP candidate were still Trump.
But she has an agenda that has been made very public & her style of social engineering is taken directly from the pages of esteemed socialist throughout history like Saul Alinsky.

Skip the 3rd trimester abortion issue.
Skip the free abortions to poor women in 3rd world countries.
Skip the hideous literature called Common Core she wants in every school.
Skip the secret way she plans on attacking the 2nd amendment.
Skip her plans to cut the budget on the military beginning with the 2017/2018 budget.

Social engineering:
We won't even mention what she'll do to Christian businesses who refuse to accommodate employees with abortion pills in their med coverage.
Go directly to her plan to force every single 501(c)(3) to conform to every federal mandate hidden in the anti-discrimination laws.
All churches, para church organizations, christian schools of every denom & every kind of christian based social assistance network will be forced to conform or cease to exist.
She already has a plan to attack all networks in radio/TV & she has her sights set on christian media. It will be mandated that all networks allow for equal programming under federal law. (I don't need to explain that).

Here in Calif. we're waiting for the shoe to drop & be required to remove all gender identification from all public bathrooms in order to appease the LGBT community & this includes elementary schools. I volunteer every day at a school near our church & the staff at the school is pulling their hair out on this one (even a couple of gay teachers think it's crazy) but the mandate is coming & the kids are already expecting it & talking about it.

One 6th grade girl recently told me she will not be addressed as Maria but as Mario because she wants to identify as a boy even though when you look at her she is very much a feminine young lady who has developed early. She is popular in school & all the kids have heard her say she is going to go to the boys bathroom & use it while the boys are in there. She says she can't wait to do it to show off her new gender identity. (Her actual words not mine.)

With Hillary as POTUS we lose a lot more than a potential lewd womanizer in Trump, we lose all morals in society.
I'm not saying it's easy to vote for Trump but it's way easier to vote for the guy who can beat the one woman who has been itching to shred America apart for decades.
Her plans will begin in the 1st 100 days in office & her millions of admirers will be socially blind to her every demand. It's coming your way like falling dominos from west cast to east coast.

A lot of Christians are looking at this as a mere political squabble that will go away in 4 years but this isn't 1964 Johnson vs Goldwater. Johnson's political agenda didn't include social reform by way of socialistic engineering.

I asked why they try to dismiss his words and behavior. Do you know what I mean by dismiss?
I am talking about people trying to minimize it by saying it is a low priority (Ralph Reed), or that it is macho talk (I think that was Pat Robertson), or that it was 10 years ago, or that we all are sinners, or that it was a private conversation, etc., or that we're selecting a Sunday school teacher (Robert Jeffress).
