Mitch Maloney has resigned as North Cleveland Pastor |
doyle |
According to the Facebook page of David Roebuck from the Pentecostal Research Library, after 23 years as Pastor at North Cleveland COG, Mitch Maloney has resigned.
There are tons of good people can say about Mitch and Sharon. I hope viewers take this opportunity to share what a blessing this couple has been to us, to our headquarters church, and to the COG around the world.

At this time that is all we know. If you have verified further info, please feel free to post it.

I'm going to go out on a limb here & say that hopefully it was for a new change or challenge in direction of ministry.
After all, we are very close to the kick-off for the GA & he may be elected to one of many executive positions. _________________ "Empty nest syndrome is for the birds!"

23 years is a long time for North Cleveland.
Has anyone served there longer? _________________ Whether you like it or not, learn to love it, because its the best thing going today! |

It's been rumored for months that MW will go there and pastor. |

Congrats to Pastor Maloney for such an impactful career at North Cleveland. He was still the "new guy" there when I arrived at Lee. His leadership during the growth of the church including the new facilities shows how forward thinking he is.
What's next? Pastor Maloney could go just about anywhere he wants. He may even be voted into the Executive Committee. But if not, would he go straight to a large state? I can't imagine his first state being something like Northern New England. |

this is speculation |

so don't anybody get all mad at me.
But, I think 3 out of 4 of these things could happen:
1. Mitch Maloney goes to USA Missions
2. James Cossey stays at USA as an assistant
3. Mark Williams goes to North Cleveland to pastor
4. Women are given the right to vote on the Assembly floor.
Take a guess which 3 are most likely. |

Pastor Mitch Maloney is a tremendous pastor/leader...and a father to a lot of spiritual sons. I an thankful for his role in my life. I was 21/22 when I went on staff at North Cleveland. He believed in me when I really didn't know much about myself.
Serving under Pastor was a privilege. I learned a ton and truly enjoyed myself. 23 years is definitely the longest tenure of any pastor at NCCOG...by far. But, more than anything, I'm thankful for his mentoring, shaping and challenging of my life in ministry. I'm indebted to him, believe in him...would follow him just about anywhere. He is the real deal.
Cheers, pastor! And, congratulations on the monster job you did!
Blessings to you in your next season of ministry. I know it will be beautiful! |

So you think women get to vote too? |

Long long long long fellow. I mean longhorn. Takes one to know one. We should have a conversation some time about new ministry schools popping up. You'd be surprised at what I know about that. |

Mitch and Sharon are my friends. When I arrived as a freshman at Lee in Walker Hall, Mitch was my dorm pastor. Don't hold that against him. They are wonderful servants!! |

Great to read about ministries like Mitch's. He has served well and no can do almost anything he wishes in the CoG.
I first heard him speak at the Evangelism Explosion Rallys in the 70's.
I only wish him the best. _________________ Recorded Sermons @ www.pastorwiley.com

We go back a long way with Mitch and Sharon. When I was in the U. S. Coast Guard stationed in Detroit, my uncle Tommy Pike was Principal of the school where Mitch was pastoring in Detroit, and my wife, Mary Ellen was Mitch's secretary. We enjoyed our time with Mitch and Sharon in Detroit. We were all just kids back then. I wish him the very best on his next journey. |

As long as he got better at making disciples, I am ok with it.
He probably got lots of practice working with you. _________________ Whether you like it or not, learn to love it, because its the best thing going today! |
