Used to watch TV & when the fights were blackout would listen to the radio & I remember that famous line from Howard Cosell "Frazier is down, Frazier is down" I wonder if Ali is down?

I heard all about Ali's greatness today.
His daughter says now he is resting in a better place ...no longer in pain.
GW says he was a man of peace & a wonderful soul.
The world is clamoring to express their condolences & brag on this muslim athlete.
My first thought was: what was he thinking when he stood before God a few hours ago?

Unless he denied Allah & declared Jesus as Lord & God's Son, according to God's word there is no other way to a place of eternal rest with no more pain.

Great fighter!
Great athlete!
Great humanitarian!
Great is nothing w/out knowing Jesus!

Strange thing about death. The living actually change their thinking. I remember the death of M.L. King even his adversaries found good things to say.

Before JFK was assassinated you couldn't find a man in our area with a good word to say about him. Afterwards he was a saint and one of the best presidents that lived.

WE do not want to appear to 'hate' someone once they are dead. WE humans do not like someone who speaks evil (bad) of the dead who can no longer defend themselves. Folks do it because they do not want to appear 'uncaring or unloving'.

From the way I read the scripture and the way I was raised, then in the words of a 1950's preacher, "HE BUSTED HELL WIDE OPEN!"

But now that I am older and don't know as much as I did when I was younger, I decided a few years ago to leave the Heaven/Hell question after a death, up to the righteous JUDGE! Idea

I never heard Cosell call Ali-Frazier, but Foreman - Frazier, Billy Crystal made famous imitating Cosell: "Down goes Frazier, down goes Frazier".

To Ali, however, I wonder if it matters.

Either he will hear, "Down goes Ali", or "Welcome thou good and faithful servant Ali".
