Is the Blaze a joke website?
The writer compared himself often to Trump. That made me laugh out loud.
Thanks.

Matt Walsh. I enjoy his style. I do believe he's making a fair point. Why this guy has the support from Evangelicals is beyond me.

Dare I say, Trump is the new Obama. Generic, blank slate. He can be whatever you want him to be. I just don't hear any substance from the guy.

he just threatened a family that's spending money against his campaign (their right no matter what). Real classy and presidential. The first amendment is not even safe with this guy, if he doesn't like what you say, he'll go full-Putin on you.

Not a threat to a lawsuit.
He is just saying he has plenty of dirt on everyone - and won't be a Romney and not bring it up.

Can't you just see Rubio making the nomination and Hillary mopping the floor with him like Christie did? He ain't ready.

But Trump let's folks know - that if they want to attack him - he will hit back. It already worked on Hillary. Just one more reason to vote for the guy. Thanks for pointing that out for us.

So when did he tell you this? How does he get his "dirt on everyone"?

The dirt is already out there - White water, Benghazi, rape, etc...

Reps. have been too timid to use it.

Trump isn't.

So the Rickets family is associated with Benghazi and rape? I'm not familiar with them so I'm asking seriously, I didn't know that.

I have no idea what they are associated with. Trump has not disclosed what he has...just that he has something.

I was talking Hillary stuff, which is pretty well known - which once Trump threatened some more stuff - she backed off.

This works for Trump. Why - because what dirt can you dig up on Trump?

Everyone already thinks the worst of him already - so he is inoculated there. Hitting Rubio or Cruz there would be disastrous for them.

This is spot on, and no one has any answer to this charge. They will just keep telling you (with no details provided) how he is going to fix the things that are important to them.

So far off it's is ridiculous.

Obama was never "whatever you want him to be" and neither is Trump.

Obama made his leftist agenda known from the start.

Trump has made his nationalist agenda known from the start.

I think Trump will stay focused on a few key things and let the people worry about the rest. If he implements his basic points it will be a net plus for America.

Perhaps if you put it in an appropriate thread and not one dealing with a Blaze article - you will get the responses you are looking for.

RS, You were one of the biggest Ron Paul defenders during the last cycle. Can you explain the 180 degree shift? I don't think you can get much further from Libertarian principles than Trump's nationalistic, authoritarianism.

What he was is irrelevant; all that matters is what people perceived him to be.

Trump is threatening a family..haha - here is the real story.

Quote:
New campaign-finance reports show that Marlene Ricketts, the wife of billionaire T.D. Ameritrade founder J. Joe Ricketts, contributed $3 million to Our Principles PAC, a super PAC that blistered Trump with negative ads, voter guides and mailers ahead of the Iowa caucuses and the New Hampshire and South Carolina primaries. Katie Packer, who helped manage Mitt Romney's 2012 presidential campaign, runs the group.

Virtually all the money the committee raised in January came from Ricketts, whose family owns the Chicago Cubs.

Ricketts lives in Nebraska. Her son, Pete, is the state's governor.

I wonder which one of them has stuff to hide - and hoped they could do their trashing behind a PAC pen name and get away with it.

Twisted Evil

I usually agree with you, RS, but you are way off in your assessment of my post. 2008 was all about the public's perception of who Obama was, thanks largely to the liberal media protecting their golden boy. Yes, the people paying attention saw him for what he is, but the "low information voters" did not.

Trump isn't much different, IMO. What substantial policy ideas has he put forth? I've yet to really hear anything. He is the GOP Obama, a bumper sticker candidate that makes people feel good about the future, while never detailing how.

He's not principled. At least Obama is firmly in the socialist corner. Trump is a political chameleon.

I backed Rand this time until he dropped out of the race. I must now consider other candidates.
