I saw 13 Hours, the Benghazi movie tonight |
John Jett |
First I'd like to say this was Michael Bay's finest, it was worthy of an Oscar.
Noting that it claims not to make any political claims, only facts, I'll address it on that basis.
After seeing a movie, one should always ask what is it trying to tell me, or what question is it trying to ask me? Even though there is no outright reference to any politician in this film, I think it asks a very serious, and a very simple question. Where was everyone while this was happening? Over and over again we see them reaching out for help that was constantly denied or delayed. Its at the very heart of the Benghazi question.
Other than that, it also addresses the "protests" lie that we all heard from our government the next day. |

I think one should ask |

what were the meetings and the truck load of weapons about?
could it be the CIA clandestine operation that wasn't there but was be the reason so little emerged - in all the hoopla I don't remember reading or hearing of an attack on the unofficial base?
did it seem to you they placed the blame on the CIA chief? _________________ God-Honoring

Comon. Isn't this really all about sexism and racism? You guys feel threatened by an intelligent woman being Secretary of State and a black man being President. End of discussion. _________________ "It is doubtful if any Trinitarian Pentecostals have ever professed to believe in three gods, and Oneness Pentecostals should not claim that they do." - Daniel Segraves UPCI |

Yes, they sorta did, but there was clear references that they planted here and there. I don't think they wanted to be accused of being "political", but I distinctly remember it showing around 10:45 PM "POTUS has been notified", and I remember the CIA team with maps spread out desperately calling for help, drones, air-strikes, anything, and that was clearly NOT the chief's fault. Also the 1 hour delay that caused the ambassador's death, the chief was on a phone and said they did not have clearance. I thought they said enough without actually spelling it out.
For a movie that was not meant to just be a political commentary, I thought it was amazing. And the people in my theater were visibly upset and you could hear a lot of " *** Hillary" talk.
-- For the weapons sale, I thought it was just CIA stuff trying to find out who the players were in the weapons trade there... More or less the reason the CIA was there in Benghazi. I didn't find anything too sinister about it (not that it couldn't be) |

John, |
Mark Ledbetter |
did you read or hear anything about the CIA compound coming under attack?
I don't recall anything and that was the most surprising event.
Maybe I just missed it. _________________ God-Honoring

That was one of the best parts of this movie, it really helped me understand those events so much better than listening to the politicians debate it back and forth. I have not heard anything other than that this movie is factual (as much as it can be and still be a movie). It really let me come as close as possible to just witnessing the events, seeing for myself and drawing as much conclusion from that as I can (letting the investigation and other aspects happening away from the events come to light later).
The fact that there were no protests when I remember the government telling us there was, and that for 13 hours our government did next to nothing to support those it put in harm's way was enough to get me back to asking the right questions. Why? And "Who is responsible?". |

Don't guess I will ever know exactly what happened in Benghazi, but if Obama/Hillary knowingly allowed this to happen, all for the sake of political correctness, they should both be in jail. In the same cell. For a long time. |
