By the way, all polls are completely anonymous. None of the Admins or Mods can see which way you voted. Just thought some might like to know that. _________________ Signature Themes: Connectedness | Futuristic | Ideation | Intellection | Learner |

Something tells me there are cowards on board. Over 55 views and only 10 votes? People, it's your God given duty to vote! This is not China.
Why people in Iraq stand in line to vote and risk their very lives!
Errr.... excuse me, got a little carried away there.

55 views means just that -- 55 views. Every time someone comes back to the poll to see if anyone new has voted, it gets counted. I'm surprised there are 10 votes with only 55 views! _________________ Signature Themes: Connectedness | Futuristic | Ideation | Intellection | Learner |

Cheerwine?
Man, I love me some Cheerwine. When I go to SC or NC, I buy some to bring home. My Dad used to sell it MANY years ago. |

Man, I have not thought of Cheerwine in years! I just looked it up on the net to see about ordering some, but at $12 a case plus shipping and handling... well, maybe I can order one case!

But I think there should've been an option for those who were once addicted to drinking and are now sober, now that would be interesting.

Sometimes none of the answers really fit. |

You can't always give a Yes or No answer. The classic example is if you are asked, "Have you stopped beating your wife yet?"
On the old board a thread was running on the alcohol issue & anyone giving anything other than a straight Yes or No was being reprimanded & told "Just answer the question! Yes or No?"
On this one, I don't believe it is a sin for an AoG pastor to drink a glass of wine, because he never promised not to. However, every CoG member has made a promise before God to observe the Practical Commitments. Therefore, if I drink a glass of wine, I am a liar & a hypocrite - and the Bible definitely says that is a sin! |

Seems pretty one-sided thus far, but once this place is totally opened to everyone, then the liberals will be voting their side...right?

If it is a sin to use cooking wine, then I am a sinner. |

Cooking Wine? |
BV COG |
I guess cooking wine is ok if you are actually cooking with it, in the area I live in now, if anyone saw me with a bottle of anything, it would get around that I'm a raging alcoholic, not really something I want to deal with.

I have learned that people will talk about you no matter what. If there isn't something real, they will make it up. I just try not to create opportunities for them.
As for the cooking wine, it really is no big deal. It is another seasoning, and the alcohol is cooked out. I don't use it daily, but in some recipes I do.
For me, I would never drink wine, or any other alcoholic beverage. But I am not going to condemn someone for a glass of wine or beer. I have been to places in Europe where they could be offended if you did not have a beer or a small amount of brandy with them. I simply explained that I used to have a serious drinking problem and to please go ahead without me. |

that was the worse thing I ever drank. I'd rather drink beer which I also drank one of and hated, never to drink another. _________________ I never could tell what the sky was sayin, but these mountains... they don't keep many secrets. |

This one isn't that easy. It has so many dimensions to it. Are you trying to see how far you can willfully go with something and it not be sin? Have you been told by a doctor to have a small glass for health purposes? Are you drinking it as a act of rebellion? I was always taught if there is a question about something then the safest thing is don't do it. |

Don't use cooking wine! |

Look at the sodium content. It'll kill ya.
Personally, and I could be way off base here, could it be a sin depending on the reason you are drinking? Are you drinking to get drunk intentionally? For fun, to lose control? To "let your hair down". Or simply because a 94 Merlot goes pretty good with sausage and peppers. |
