Yeah, that one gave me pause too.
Spiritual sanctification is a gift that comes by the offering of the body of Jesus Christ.
Heb. 10:10 By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
Sanctification in our behavior is something we "pursue", along with "peace with all men" so that those around us "will see the Lord."
Heb. 12:14 Pursue peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no one will see the Lord.
Mat 5:16 Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
So I don't disagree with this statement. It's just incomplete. And then, of course, there's the quagmire of what a "life of holiness" looks like.
If I were to minimally tweak it, it would probably say: We believe in sanctification, which produces a life of holiness. _________________ I'm not saved because I'm good. I'm saved because He's good!
