Seeing as we already have full-blown Calvinists pastoring in the CoG, it is not clear to me why Swaggart’s so-called ‘message of the cross’ (eternal security) would pose any hindrance to him becoming credentialed in the CoG, if in fact he is interested in that. (It’s not as if the CoG only credentials Wesleyan-Holiness types nowadays). I only said that having the current General Overseer of the CoG preach at Swaggart’s church made me wonder if he might possibly be interested. That, along with the fact that Swaggart showed interest in being restored to fellowship with the AG last year, made me really wonder. I have no idea if he is or isn’t interested. |
