Post Church Sign Sayings FG Minister
We, like most churches, have a digital sign and we like to change it every two weeks with some catchy saying. I have seen all the standards like: Christian Vitamin is B1. Or, What's Missing in our Ch__ch?

Do you have any clever sayings we could use other than the old standards which we refuse to use?

I saw one on the St. Matthews COG once that I still remember. It was not new to me, but I think of it often when things I plan go awry.:
"You make God Smile when you tell him YOUR plans"
It attributed the quote to 'Minnie Pearl;.'

Note: I was shocked at the price of the signs, but I do like them and agree with someone that said always flash the time and local temps.

Post FGMinister... Aaron Scott
I would imagine that if you have some really good line in a sermon, that is a good thing to put up. If you feel it has a touch on it, or if you believe it can be beneficial to those passing by the church, consider using that line.

For that matter, use lines you hear from other preachers.

My dad used to brag on the lady who changed the church sign. He said she probably reached more people than the church did. When he'd go get a haircut, the barbers didn't go to church there, but they would often comment on the sign, etc.

It's a ministry that can perhaps be the difference between a divorce and hanging in there...suicide and life...etc.

I think we should stay away from speculation about the person of the Almighty.

I was especially bothered by the campaign for signs that made up cheesy sayings and attributing them to God like saying that God said, "Don't make Me come down there." I can't find that in the Bible. If someone prophesied it, I want a source.

You could go for provocative.

"Should we castrate the next generation? Join us for a message on sexuality and transgenderism on the 12th at 9 AM."

Not clever and pithy though, and it might not fit on the sign.
