Post Amplified Classic Version V. Amplified Version smart people help.... caseyleejones
All my AMP bibles are AMPC apparently. However, I cannot find the difference between the two. For you who use it, what are the major differences?

THANKS

I hear that the definitions in parenthesis of the old version were supposed to be based on scholarship, but it seemed to me like if I were doing a word study of a Greek word, the words in parenthesis were of little to no use in understanding the Greek word. It felt like someone had combed an English Thesaurus for the words. Or maybe they used a theological dictionary rather than using it as an aid for language research.

After a few word studies, I decided to stay away from the Amplified. But I don't know about the newer one, which I just found out about from your post.
