Post Our Lord is coming back to earth again! Quiet Wyatt
I am watching for the coming of the glad millennial day
When our Blessed Lord shall come and catch His waiting Bride away
Oh my heart is filled with rapture as I labor, watch and pray
For our Lord is coming back to earth again!

Post This Song is Post-Trib Rapture FG Minister
I am pre-trib rapture, but I still love the song! This song has Jesus coming at the beginning of the millennial reign. Acts-celerater

We always sang it in the pretrib AG when I was growing up in the ‘70s. I am posttrib now, but I have no problem with the song regardless and I do hope pretrib turns out to be correct. 🤓 [Insert Acts Pun Here]

Post ...when we all get to heaven.....sang them all....but caseyleejones
While they had a good jingle to them, I have often wondered if many of those songs were really unscriptural.

Years ago growing up in church it came across as if God forced our birth on earth so we would have a goal of yearning for heaven. In a sense, that mentality pervaded a lot of pentecostal thinking. Looking back, that thought process makes God appear on the cruel side. It makes us have a miserable mindset here.

There is more to our walk with Christ than thinking about heaven all the time. There is much more I would like to say but there is already enough to unpack here....but.....

Will we actually live forever in heaven for eternity or the new earth? By the say, FYI I just got done reading a book of a person caught up into heaven....just so you know, I like those kind of books as well.

My understanding is that we will live forever in Heaven on Earth. Yearning for Christ’s return is the heartbeat of the Spirit and the Bride. It is implied in the Lord’s Prayer when we are told to pray, “thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven.” [Insert Acts Pun Here]

There are many mysteries concerning the after-life. So many teach different things and they are all sincere about their beliefs. The Bible is full of symbolism and it’s a challenge to navigate through it all. Here’s what I know. It’s going to be good! Acts-pert Poster
