Post Cojak
it is really hard for a man NOT to be a yes man when they respect their leaders. But I do hope men are elected who can think and also follow their convictions and NOT be afraid to speak their opinions even against the tide, if need be.
That is from the pew, and my hope in our leadership. Embarassed

That is not possible. Jerry Madden and Mark Williams are the only two pastors who are currently serving and eligible to serve another term. If you desire all pastors (Which is possible) then you need to think of 16 of them.

If you are going to vote for AB’s you need to check with the pastors they serve. Just because someone is social media savvy don’t mean they have great wisdom. If they have had great success as an AB they probably would be an asset to us on the council of 18. Same goes for pastors. Hey, DOC

I don’t have a full list yet, but it will include those who are eligible to serve another term, as well as Tony Stewart, Scott Sheppard, David Smith, Joe Dobbins, and William Lee.

Solid list. I don't think Tony is still eligible, but I think I'd vote for the other guys who mentioned.

It is important to note that 12 is not the MAXIMUM number of pastors, but the minimum. We can elect up to 18 pastors.

BTW...I'd vote for Pastor Tony to replace J David Stephens on the EC Smile

Tony Stewart is not currently on the Executive Council. I would also vote for him for the committee. I think he would be a great choice. If Mark Williams is available, I have a feeling that he will be a shoe in for the Committee position.

Aren't the number of men on the council to be increased at this 2020 Assembly?

The motion to increase it to 24 was tabled and may be presented again as part of the 2020 agenda. If it were passed, it would not go into effect until 2022.
