Post Salty language Cojak
Salty, since I was a sailor at one time, is a good word.

We have had politicians and business people get in trouble for words, descriptive phrases and opinions most stated in private and leaked to the world by attention seeking 'secret mouths' or unnamed sources. Very few have went further than 'dam(n)' in public speaking. But this week a newly elected female politician topped them all in a public speech before hundreds.
The statement about 'Impeaching Trump' was the bottom of the barrel. I would expect that at a bar somewhere, but not for public dissemination.

She was chided by her peers as she should have been, but it shows the lower scale of public servants we are getting.

It is very disheartening I am old school, I guess, but I do not expect to hear that from a woman Much less one of high profile.

Shucks, even Marines, Sailors and Soldiers (and some Coasties) are taught to never use foul language in the presence of a lady! Embarassed

Agree. It was nice to see Pelosi rebuke it -- and I guess sad that it was a little surprising to me that Pelosi did so. [Insert Acts Pun Here]

Yes, that was a surprise but I was glad to see it. Cool

I had always thought of the expletive she used as an accusation of incest. But in a converation online I read, I realize apparently other people think it involves other people's mothers. If it's the former, that may be grounds for a slander lawsuit. If the later, there is probably not much of a case to be made.

My feelings are private conversations are just that. I am sure everyone I know of with the exception of mother Teresa have said things in private that they would be embarrassed to no end it they hit the air waves, or got back to the members from a pastor to pastor conversation.
I have known COG ministers to use some pretty salty language, not the words used in the main gist of this post, but very nasty to some people never the less. My mama was embarrassed by the use of 'darn' or 'shoot' used int the wrong contest.

My main point is the level we have dropped to casually or even in hipe, to use a word or phrase in a public occasion that would embarrass the larger portion of our population (even if it is the older citizens!). Embarassed

If mama woulda slapped my jaws for saying it, I don't say it.

This philosophy has served me well.
