Post Have you heard that Martial Law is immenent? Cojak
My wife has a friend who is due to come to Florida around the first. She is my wife's closest friend in the RV world (not church). The friend says she is reading 'instagram' and is sure martial law is going to be declared because of what she is reading, and is afraid to leave home, but her husband insists they are coming.
I haven't even read that conspiracy theory on the internet with all the crazy e-mails I get. The wife says that the friend is sure Jim (another friend) is in 'the know' and it is going to happen.

I honestly do not understand otherwise intelligent people believing EVERY conspiracy theory they hear. This same person was POSITIVE President Obama was going to declare himself King or dictator. This lady is not a weirdo, but gets convinced as someone uses half truths and internet scares to develop a wild theory. Confused

Every once in awhile I read an article that after a paragraph or two realize this person is definitely a Democrat by present standards. At times I will finish the article, but MOST of the time I will read some comments just to see what people think. I have learned something I never knew by doing that. There are just as many conspiracy theories and 'fear mongers' on the LEFT as the RIGHT.

TRUMP will destroy the USA. I heard that when Obama was elected. before he was through I had friends who declared 'next week' he will declare himself the RULER of the USA, he will be a dictator.

I said to many and also in writing here on this forum. One man (Obama) cannot destroy this country. It is the best there is in the world with all its faults. Now I repeat the same about TRUMP, he will not ruin, kill, or destroy this country. One man will not do it.

I voted for Trump because I did not want the opponent to get elected. My next vote will be determined by what I think is best fo the country, I am not sure it will be Trump. I sorta hope he doesn't try again. I do not like his style of 'campaigning'. (I have sons who LOVE it, for some danged reason).
I do like his approach to PC! I am tired of that in politics and education.

That is my rant for today! Smile Smile Smile Smile Smile Smile Smile

The martial law theory has been circulating since the dawn of the Internet. Several members of our church spend literally all day posting conspiracy theories on Facebook. It embarrasses me when they send out friend requests to new members. But it doesn’t take long for people to see what they’re all about.

If there were a real conspiracy, seems like Facebook would be the last place you’d find out Laughing

I've recently taken an unhealthy interest in "QAnon" conspiracy theorists -- these are folks who believe, based on the anonymous internet postings of someone who claims to have an ultra high-level government clearance -- that Robert Mueller is actually working with the Trump administration to prosecute Obama, Hillary, the Bush family, and basically everyone else the far far far right views as boogeymen. They believe there are over 10,000 sealed indictments waiting to be released, and that when they are, huge numbers of Democrats (politicians, media personalities, etc.) will be indicted and sent to Gitmo to be tried by military tribunals for treason.

There are a LOT (relatively) of people who believe this and it really blows my mind. What especially fascinates me is how they will justify ANYTHING to keep believing. When posts by "Q" (the alleged government informant) are demonstrated to be false (e.g. specific predictions that didn't occur) they will say, well, of course -- Q knows Obama, Hillary, etc. are watching his posts, so it's important he occasionally post things that will mislead them.

It's something else.

There was a video on YouTube about FEMA buying huge numbers of coffins and stacking them around a facility. The video showed big plastic storage containers, something like a rubbermade container, that were supposed to be the'coffins'

Post The only valid ... Mat
The only valid conspiracy theory is that of Satan's plan to deceive and master as many people as possible before Jesus' Second Coming. It is so obvious that most people don't believe it.

As to other conspiracy theories, yes, evil men/women do conspire for the sake of gaining power and wealth in this world. There is no doubt in my mind that some would love to take American's freedoms, since those freedoms are the greatest "wall" to their plans. I tend to think that America will fall before the Lord's return, however, it will fall from spiritual "rot" not from the force of arms.

Post Martial Law is not a bad thing always..could happen today... caseyleejones
If we had a dirty bomb, nuke, or EMP happen in a major city, martial law would likely happen and it would be wise to do so.

On a national level, a grid down event would cause it. I encourage people to watch a few youtube vids when the link(food stamp) reading device went down in a city for a few hours. Those people nearly rioted.

While I am not a conspiracy theorist, in the next few years, our country will either descend into a civil war II, become bankrupt, or hit the worst depression this country has ever seen....or a combination of the above. We are a divided nation.

Think about it, you have a large segment of society that wants abortion up to seconds before birth, complete open borders, believes there are multiple genders, and embrace socialism. Laugh if you want, but a socialist nearly got the democratic nod and would have if Hillary had not cheated. I think Bernie might have beaten Trump.

That was more than you wanted I'm sure. But, martial law will happen and I think sooner than we think.

I don't know about imminent but a few months ago I had a couple of disturbing dreams regarding February 14, 2019.

One dream the shelves of grocery stores were empty and water puddles had some kind of rainbow looking film on them. A few days later I had a dream about a serviceman who was dressed in camouflage gear and when he turned around there was a red heart shaped decal on his back. February 14

These dreams were vivid.

I hope they are wrong but I did remove my money from mutual funds and that turned out good, kept me from a big loss. So maybe it was for my personal edification.

Hey CAsey, I do agree completely there are circumstances that CAN demand martial law, however I am one who thinks if if does come, it would be a logical needed 'short term' requirement.

I have read some very convincing stories or scenarios that spell out the happenings, but not enough to convince me. Personally I see nothing I can do personally to prepare nor prevent a national disaster.
Sad Nor do I see reason for folks like my friend Jim to be spreading 'panic in some of the less fortunate seniors locally. Some are in the 'What are we gonna do mode???? My SS check is all I have!'

I can always keep 3-4 weeks of food stored at all times.

I remember a few years ago when we had a massive storm. All power was out from either days to weeks. People could not buy anything without cash. Most people I know use a debit card. Guess what, they could buy nothing with power down. We had cash on hand and food and an outside grill. We ate good for several days till power came back on.

They didn't give a date but I heard a foreign missionary say something along these lines. She said she saw rich and poor people standing in food lines in a vision she had. She did not know why or the cause...but saw people in food lines here in the US.

Definitely nothing wrong with having emergency food. We have enough in the motor home for a couple weeks.
I have LDS friends who keep a years supply of food, I see nothing wrong with that. Pretty smart actually. Imma cash type guy, I use a debit card, but always have cash. That too ain't a bad idea. Cool

That's interesting. The first thing in the dream I had dealt with shortage of food. That would be a huge deal in the USA.
