When you can't pray.... |
Aaron Scott |
Ever went through one of those seasons where the heavens are brass? Try as you might, you can't seem to truly pray? Oh, you can string together some words, but there is no fervency or intensity.
I've been there.
This came to me last night: When you can't pray, then worship.
Worship is something that might start off as thanksgiving for what God has done for you (you might even be thanking Him for things that happened 50 years ago), but eventually worship transforms into something else as the Lord's presence comes down. And THEN you can pray! And THEN you can ask! And THEN you can receive something of the Lord.
Just on my heart today. |

When I'm too burdened to pray... |

I like to sit down at my keyboard, open my old red hymnal, and sing until I feel relief.
Some sessions are longer than others _________________ Doctor of Bovinamodulation |

Great advice Aaron and Roughrider. It reminds me of the song, "Praise the Lord." |
