Things people say when attacking President Trump |
Ernie Long |
but enjoy his actions, "I actually favor most of Trump’s policies, but that is beside the point."
I once had a member in my church, rake me over the coals and after he was done almost said the same thing me as the above, "I like your preaching, but that is beside the point. |

Yeah, it is hard for some folks to be satisfied WITH A FACT, unless it satisfies THEIR POINT!
You just smile and say, 'Well bless your heart!' _________________ Some facts but mostly just my opinion!

It is Beside the Point, if the Point is Something Else! |
FG Minister |
If the poster in another post is talking about the immorality of President Trump and then briefly mentions agreement with the policies of Mr. Trump, that is beside the point - an aside. It isn't the point of that post. It's like having a discussion of the immorality of Swaggart in the late 1980's and then saying you like his preaching. In that discussion, his preaching is beside the point - an aside. It isn't the point of that discussion; it's an aside. An aside, according to the dictionary, is a remark that does not pertain to the main topic. It is beside the point. Hopefully this clarifies your incorrect assertion from my separate post. |
