Post Rules for the Next Actscelerate? Aaron Scott
Let's pretend it is Day One of Actscelerate (probably back in 1998 or 1999, I think). Knowing what we know now, what steps might have been taken to ensure that it "evolved" in such a way that, instead of becoming the Radiator Springs of the Church of God internet, it remained the New York City (if that's not too far of a stretch).

I'm not sure there IS anything that could be done. But we know that saying "Ban this person right off the bat" wouldn't be the answer. Because some of those banned actually caused people to tune in, to engage, etc. And we already had rules about being mean, etc.

SO WHAT COULD WE HAVE DONE DIFFERENTLY (and perhaps what could we STILL do) TO MAKE ACTSCELERATE CHURCH OF GOD CENTRAL?

I don't know, but I would like to see it. Cool It would take some creative ads and PR work that volunteers do not have time or money to invest.

I was thinking the other day that Sears & Roebuck became THE GIANT using mail order. My mama even ordered her chicken dibbies from Sears. The went brick and mortar and catalog shopping sorta fell. They did not see AMAZON coming, now Amacon is putting them and others out of business with basically 'mail order' modern style.

Now I tried to visit and use the COG Forum and it did not appeal to me. I think this would, if we could FB it or something, I might even start looking at FB. LOL

Anyway good stuff Aaron, but maybe a few years late (BUT THEN MAYBE NOT!) Idea Idea Exclamation Exclamation Cool

A statement of faith that are part of the tos that must be agreed to and followed in order to participate. As it stands now you can be an adherent to not so cleverly disguised cults such as Sacred Name and Hebrew Roots Movement, among others, and be just another one of the boys here.

A cousin of ours lives in Porterville, CA. (yes, real name) & the house they live in was ordered out of the Sears catalog prior to 1930 I believe.
Anyway they have a designation that the house cannot be razed due to it's historical value.
Apparently it was shipped to the location via rail & it came with almost everything that was needed in order to build a nice home back in the day.
I think the model they live in is called the Sears & Roebuck Osborn Modern Home.

Social Media advanced. Example FB.

Doyle had this idea before FB. He was the creative mind before Actscelerate.
