Hey RS, what do you think about Trump's funding of the swamp? |
UncleJD |
All on the same day, he and the GOP gave us gun-control, some DACA money, some Planned Parenthood funding, some sanctuary city money, no wall, slamming the door on the mid-terms and giving the Democrats everything they ever wanted. I know your usual take on the GOP congress, but Trump was lock step with it today even bragging about his juvenile gun-control measure that does nothing but give the left a big foot in the door to get to what the really want. All of this on top of an already backfiring trade policy (yeah, I like what he's doing there in principle, but reality seldom measure up to potential when it comes to trade wars, my 401K has already dropped 7% in the last month. What a monumental day!
I'm usually pretty active in Trump support on this group, but not this time. I was wondering if you feel good about it? |

The only thing I read about the budget was from Rand Paul, He wasn't crazy about it.
I haven't read anything else on it, neither did I read where he had signed it. Did HE?
I was hoping he would not sign and let the chips fall. I cannot believe he is tired of fighting an up hill battle. (The up hill battle is honestly part his fault in my opinion.)
I really do not like YOUR report on the budget and hope you are lying! OK hope you are exaggerating. LOL Just kidding JD
It sucks bilge water that he cannot get HIS congress behind him. (Remembering Jimmy CArter)
I think it might be finally hitting him, this government ain't wanting to be run like a business, and live on what they take in.
I don't like your report anyway. (Lie to me, I willl feel better) _________________ Some facts but mostly just my opinion!

sorry Cojak, its true. And he quickly bragged that he would be banning bump-stocks. I don't care 2 cents about bump stocks as any serious shooter knows they are just a lazy way of doing something that people have done for years. Once they get that "ban", the libs will quickly circle the wagons to "announce" a new discovery that ALL semi-autos (including pistols), can be bump-fired without a goofy stock, so effectively, they ALL must be banned.
Also, the Planned Parenthood, nothing for a wall, no de-funding of sanctuary cities, and who knows what else, all in there. |

I've been reading some posts on forums where the faithful congregate to see the reaction. They seem to be taking a lot of comfort in his promise that while this one was necessary for national security, he'll never sign a bill like this again. Buuuut... last year he said he'd let the government shut down before he signed a bill like this. How does he know the next omnibus bill won't be "necessary" for national security? I bet it "will" be.
Or they're blaming the GOP. I mean, yeah, the GOP wrote this monstrosity, buuuuuuuuuuut... the president signed it into law. |

that he never got this good of a budget deal when Obama was President! Trump got rolled. I just hope this sidelines Trump's re-election as the Trumpsters abandon ship. Please give us a conservative Republican with some morals, a brain, and no Twitter account. It might also be good to have a president who knows how to negotiate. President Pence anyone? |

As little respect as I have for the man personally, I had thus far liked several of his policy decisions. Nevertheless, I always knew he was at heart a New York liberal, and that his ‘conservatism’ was all a facade to gain votes from easily duped personality cultists, but I have to say his signing of this bill was breathtakingly liberal. Somebody tell me again what all he promised to do if elected? He obviously views campaign promises the same way he views marriage vows. Looks like he’s just another lying dirtbag politician after all, just like I knew he would be. Well, there is Gorsuch. |

I stand by my 2016 prediction that Trump would be a temporary reprieve from having someone like Hillary or Obama. Only the States in convention, by-passing Congress, can make any lasting change. Christians alone could make this happen. Sadly, many Christians do not understand the Constitution but are looking for a "godly King" or "the right kind of Supreme Court Justices". _________________ "It is doubtful if any Trinitarian Pentecostals have ever professed to believe in three gods, and Oneness Pentecostals should not claim that they do." - Daniel Segraves UPCI |

I started to say you ducked the question, but on second thought, you've confirmed that he let us all down and there is no spin for this. Sure, he's not Hillary, but I think Trump's conservative moves died after the SCOTUS appointment and the tax reform. Someone said he tweeted this morning something like "Can I go back and veto it now?". I need to look that up because it makes him a fool if he said it. |

I'm sure he is under tremendous pressure and really believes the national security narrative. But he should know he is being set-up. He did not get that this is the thing that will turn off the base. Did you hear Rush, Laura and Coulter yesterday? He'd better listen and fast. In the end, this struggle does not hang on Trump. We need to change the battlefield to the one I mentioned previously, Convention of States. _________________ "It is doubtful if any Trinitarian Pentecostals have ever professed to believe in three gods, and Oneness Pentecostals should not claim that they do." - Daniel Segraves UPCI |

I thought Tucker Carlson said it best, but yeah, he got ZERO support from his base. So, the left hates him, and his base is feeling betrayed. The "pressure" to sign that bill could in no way be as bad as the pressure he's feeling today. |

Trump had no choice but to approve the budget. Too many Obama politicians still there. |
