Jews and Christians have pretty much always buried. Pagans cremate.

Pagan Romans cremated.
Pagan Norse cremated.
Pagan Hindus cremate.
Pagan Buddists cremate.

Religions that affirm the resurrection bury. Jews, Christians, and even Muslims bury.

Hebrews 11:22
By faith Joseph, when he died, made mention of the departing of the children of Israel; and gave commandment concerning his bones.

Just say 'no' to cremation.

If you are looking for a cost-friendly alternative, try a 'Green Burial' which doesn't use a coffin.

So.......you believe that a person who chooses cremation is a pagan? Sorry, can’t agree with that at all, but appreciate your thoughts.

Burial has historically been the preference of the church, and the article goes into that, but I'm not sure how anyone could propose that as a requirement of Scripture. To say that one must bury would be to lay a burden on them that God does not lay on them.

Anyway, that was a really well done paper, in my opinion. Well argued and thoroughly biblical.
