Post New members “ceremony” FLRon
I’m curious about how other churches take in new members today. Do you have them come and stand up front? Do you do the “right hand of fellowship” where everyone comes up to shake their hands? Is your “ceremony” done more discreetly, or informally?

We still do it the old fashioned way. They come up front and make their affirmations, we pray and then they are given the "right hand" of fellowship as you said. I enjoy doing it in front of the church because it always has a celebratory and warm feel. Acts Enthusiast

Do you have them sing and dance to 'The Church of God is Right" in front of the congregation?

Post The Way We Do It FG Minister
The prospective members attend the new members class. They then complete a form where they agree to our teachings, agree to mediation if the need would ever arise, agree to volunteer and give as God blesses them. I review the applications. If all OK, I email them and welcome them into the fellowship. We then print their names in the bulletin as new members. Acts-celerater
