Post Does the General Assembly Matter? Change Agent
Do most COG officials look to follow General Assembly Minutes. I think General Assembly Minutes mean very little to COG officials as a whole.

I base this on:

1. Sweet Deals are given to some churches in violation of Minutes
2. Pastors are told by Overseers that it is ok to do certain things that are not in alignment with Minutes.
3. No one is willing to stand up and say going against the Minutes is wrong.

What do you say about the importance of the GA Minutes? Hope you have a pen name.

Post I think it may be ignorance Clint Wills
I once had someone tell me that we couldn't do something because it violated the minutes. The reality is, it didn't violate the minutes at all because the minutes said, "when able"...and we aren't reasonably able.

They weren't being mean or trying to subvert the church...they were just ignorant of what the minutes actually say.

Clint, in your opinion what does the Minutes state on property ownership by a full fledged COG (not affiliate)? Does it state that you have any options to join without deeding property? Acts Enthusiast
