Post NSA phone tap re: Cojak and Link bonnie knox
Cojak: Link, my man, can you give me some pointers on Hawaiian cooking?
Link: Anything I can't tell you I'll ask my wife; she's a great cook.
Cojak: Well I tried to have a luau for my neighbors here in Florida and I think I've charred the hog.
Link: My wife says try cooking it at aloha temperature.

Very Happy

I hope the NSA make more productive use of their time than to listen in to conversations like that.

I'm not in Hawaii anymore. I don't remember my wife ever cooking any traditional Hawaiian food. She found it a bit bland. They don't use a lot of spices.

She learned to make two Hawaii dishes, loco moco and spam musibi. Loco moco is hamburger patties and brown gravy with an egg on top. Spam musubi is a kind of sushi made with Spam. It's Spam, seaweed, and rice. She has a little rice chaper thing the shape of Spam. Our kids love those things. We used to buy them at 7 Eleven. She learned to cook some Thai, Vietnamese, and Korean dishes while we were there.

She learned a lot of cooked

I don't think we went to a luau--as in the party with roasted pork- all the time we were there. I think the thing we went to was a regular buffet. We literally ate luau, taro leaves, but not the luau party like you see on the movies and TV episodes set in Hawaii. I was in grad school and we were poor. We weren't going to spend $80 on tickets to something like that. But we did eat that kind of pork before.

uh-oh.

I hope they don't keep track of regular folks like us. Maybe they do only if we are 10 degrees of separation from someone suspected of something related to national security.

It was kind of interesting that I got a bunch of "hits" from Russia on my personal blog statistics after Cojak and I discussed Russia hacking on this forum.

Just generally speaking, I don't think there is any privacy anymore.

My wife noticed a lot of military men hitting her up to be friends on Facebook after she talked about certain things on the phone with prayer partners. That sort of thing is one reason we never invited one of the president's relatives over for dinner, which is kind of sad.

I don't think we are doing anything exciting enough for national security type folks to want to look into, but there are probably key words they check out.
