For freedom He made us free.

"It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery." Gal 5:1

He sets us free so we will be free. Stand firm for freedom.
Stay free from fear, free from religious pressure, free from shame.
Stay free from slavery to anything that wants to hold us.

How do you get free and stay free? By knowing the Truth.

"and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” Jn 8:32

The pharisees Jesus spoke this to knew the rules, but they didn't know the truth.
The Truth is not a list of rules.
The Truth that makes you free is a person.

"Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me." Jn 14:6

"So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed." Jn 8:32

Jesus is the Truth that makes you free.

He is the truth to us about God.
The He didn't come to condemn (Jn 3:17).
That He doesn't steal, kill or destroy (Jn 10:10).
That He is kind to the evil and ungrateful (Luke 6:35).

He is the truth to God about us.
He died your death (Rom. 6:6; 2 Cor 5:14; Mat 12:31,32; Jn 5:24).
He took all your sin upon Himself and died it away (Jn 1:21; 2 Cor. 5:21).
He took the curse on your sin and your judgment away (Gal. 3:13).
He was raised with your new life and is now seated in your blessing and rest (Eph 2:4-10).

The Truth is:
You were crucified with Christ (Rom. 6:6; Gal 2:20).
You died with Him, were buried, made alive, raised up and are now seated and blessed with Him (Rom. 6:1-11; Eph 2:4-6). You are hidden with Christ in God (Col. 3:3).

When you "know the Truth", it makes you free.
When you know you will not be judged, you are free from fear.
When you know you are dead to sin, you are free from its power.
When you know that His new life is yours, you are free to love.

Christ set us free. Know this and you'll experience true freedom.
