Post My only recommendation is... cogalltheway
that Propes take up the offerings in Nashville. If he could use that line from the retired minister retreat about owning the city. That should be effective. Friendly Face

Post i want to be clear cogalltheway
I don't have anything against TP. I just don't think he's a good leader. I don't think he's unethical or immoral, I just think his leadership style doesn't move the COG forward.

He doesn't promote what I consider to be values we should endear ourselves toward.

Nothing against the man personally.

Speaking of GA.... Has anyone found any "reasonable" motel rooms? It doesn't have to be real close. We will probably drive in daily anyway. Rooms suggested are too high. Friendly Face

Just treat it like any other time you travel. Use the hotel chain that you collect points. Go to that site and see what's available. Acts-pert Poster

Hotels in the downtown area are all expensive. You may need to go out to Lebanon area to find more reasonable rooms. Member

Post Brompton-close but JimmieDavis
GO Hill
1st Culpepper
2nd Propes
3rd and Sec/Tres will be a combo of two of the following:
Moody, Madden, Wallace, Stephens and Stewart

One of the two have tenure will not make it. Maybe both.

Youth Dept you nailed it.

World Missions will be Childers and Ramirez.

I very seriously doubt that Moody, Madden, Wallace or Stewart will carry more votes than Childers. I have heard from very, very, very few people in various states that are not voting for Childers. It is his time for the committee.

Post Probably not going to happen JimmieDavis
Childers is not going on the committee. That's not the kind of leadership at this moment on the committee. He will be a great WM dept director or a state overseer.

The cog isn't going to empty the WM department and put two men on the committee from that dept. and neither should it. I know he wants to ride Tim Hill's momentum in but I don't see it happening. If he does make it he should give Tim Hill a watch as thank you gift.

You sound like the cog world traveler. I'm sure I haven't circulated the states as thoroughly as you but from my limited ezposure I don't hear Childers name anywhere. And you are assuming both incumbents are going back to the committee. I don't think that is happening either.

Hill, Culpepper will provide a stable foundation for committee leadership. You will see a new face or two on this committee. We need Childers to lead WM.
