Post Dr David Reagan explains it like I believe it (V) Eddie Robbins
I am a conditionalist which is different from annihilation. I have come to this belief after years of searching and praying. I don't expect one person on this site to believe the same because I understand the teachings of the COG. I just wanted to share it. It's about 25 minutes long.

Just watched the video.

Conditionalism is the equivalent of a Protestant Purgatory.

I think it's more than purgatory. It is what happens to the wicked after the judgement. Simply, that they are eventually cast into the lake of fire for a period of time instead of burning in a continuous fire for all of eternity. Really, the basis for the argument has so much to do with immortality of the soul. If you believe the soul is immortal instead of God giving eternal life as is stated in John 3:16, then, I get it. The wicked must exist some place.

Anyway, I'm glad you watched the video. I just wanted to share my belief on the subject.

There is a difference between eternal life and immortality. 2 Tim. 1:10; Rom. 2:7

God alone possesses immortality. 1 Tim. 6:16
He then gives it to believers. 1 Cor. 15:54

That is true. Only believers live for the rest of eternity. God chooses to give us eternal life and those who do not believe perish, as John 3:16 states. Acts-pert Poster

Do you know how many people would make that deal?

Hey, if I gonna be disintegrated, then let's party like it's 1999.

What about the beast and false prophet (who are human beings) who are still in the lake of fire one thousand years after being deposited there?

Given the choice of eternal life with God or thrown into a fire and die? How many would choose the fire? That's not the problem. The problem is with people believing that any of it is true.

You didn't watch the whole video. He deals with what happens to them.
