Bennie Young died today.
Bennie was the former pastor of Cedartown CoG and others that I cannot remember at this time.
Bennie preached for me when I pastored at Thomson Ga. _________________ Recorded Sermons @ www.pastorwiley.com

I sure did like him |

It has been years since I saw and spoke with Bennie, but I sure did like him. It's just that our paths have not crossed since some years ago.
My sincere prayers are with Brother Bennie's family. May our precious Lord Jesus keep them and comfort them in this difficult time. Though his passing is sad news for his friends and Loved Ones, it is an honor to share his name on the board so his fellow ministers can be reminded of him and his ministry.

Loved Bro. Benny |
Ed Brewer |
Brother Benny was my pastor at Baldwin when I accepted the call to preach. He gave me my first opportunity to preach and also set me on course to ministry in the Church of God. I'll never forget that he took an interest in me, nothing but a bus kid with no family in the church and nothing to offer him, and treated me like a young man. He took me to the state office in Doraville when I was set forth into the ministry and was with me when I met J. Frank Culpepper (our state overseer at that time) for my "if you can do anything else and still go to heaven, then do it" speech. I'm not sure what I would have done in that giant office with that giant little man if Benny hadn't been there to help me navigate the intimidation. Benny even sold me the first car I ever bought on my own (a bright orange 1974 VW Beetle). Praying for Barbara, Belinda, Bonnie, and his entire family as we celebrate his life and legacy. _________________ ....from Barney Creek to Bountyland through every open door |
