Post Yesterday and Tomorrow - Easter weekend. bradfreeman
Take time to focus your thoughts on Jesus this weekend.

YESTERDAY AND TOMORROW

YESTERDAY, we celebrated Good Friday. We remember the cross.

The cross is where He expressed the love of God for us and the wrath of God against everything that kept us from Him.

At the cross, your Father put away sin, the curse on sin, the legalistic system gave opportunity for sin to rule over you and kill you.

At the cross, the work of redemption was finish. The death and judgment of every human being was accomplished. The price was paid. The suffering was ended. The victory was won.

The cross brought an end to a failed system of self-righteousness, the knowledge of good and evil and the strength of the flesh as a means of trying to gain favor, blessing and right-standing with God.

The cross brought in a new covenant with not a single "you shall not" - because we could not.

The cross brought in a new covenant full of "I will" because the love of God came and did for us what we were never able to do for ourselves.

TOMORROW
, we remember and celebrate the resurrection. Where He was made alive to prove that His sacrifice worked. His new life is proof that we are alive because we were made alive together with HIm.

His life is our life.
His resurrection was our resurrection.
His blessing is our blessing.
His rest is our rest.

His resurrection was Him rising into the joy set before Him, where He is forever celebrated with every blessing that can be spoken for putting away every sin, breaking every curse, defeating every enemy and redeeming all of humanity!

His resurrection was Him rising into a new, better and eternal priesthood. His resurrection life forever speaks blessing to His Father and blessing to all of humanity that receive it by believing.

His resurrection was proof that He obtained and now enforces eternal redemption for all who believe this Good News. His life speaks of our justification. His life intercedes for us. His life mediates for us.

His resurrection was Him rising to sit at rest on the throne of His power, dominion and might - where we are seated together with Him far above all rule and authority.
