Post Clinton vs. Bush spartanfan
Indications from the beginning (earlier last year) were that the big money was behind Hillary and Jeb. As these things go - no matter what happens in Iowa, NH, SC and Nevada- when the smoke clears it's always those who have the backing of the big money. Get ready for surprise, surprise. But it will be no surprise to me that when we finally hit the big election - it's (yawn) Clinton vs. Bush. Again. Golf Cart Mafia Underboss

In Politics, there is always room for THAT SURPRISE, I have no doubt it will be Hillary unless Biden can somehow get in the race... But on the GOP side not sure it will be Bush, although in the beginning I was for Jeb, until he started running a crazy 'Kill' campaign which is not in his nature.

But Clinton/ Bush I am not sure of that... Confused

Bush is running neck and neck with Cruz right now for third place. That will give the establishment money enough hope to put it all on the line. Look for Bush to surge. I'm afraid Sparty is right on this. I like Jeb, I like W, I don't care for their big-government ways though. Golf Cart Mafia Consigliere

It is not going to happen.
Since you rejected Trump you have become delusional. Snap out of it.

You saw Bush hit his high water mark tonight. He will soon fade.

Post Just a facade. spartanfan
It's all just a show - an outward appearance that is maintained to hide the less pleasant reality. Whoever the big money people back gets the nomination. And they back both the Republican they want and the Democrat they want so that no matter who wins the general election - they've got their man (or woman) in place. When I saw Lynn Forester de Rothschild on CNN the other night pushing for Hillary and saying that Hillary was the most honest politician she has known in the last 20 years - I really burst out laughing.

So as unpleasant as it is to think about - the money will win in the end and policies that keep us dependent on foreign oil and all the stuff we rally against will remain in place. They always have both the Dem and Rep nominees in their hip pocket so even if some things change - the things they care about remain the same.

Probably Clinton vs. Bush for the presidency. Unless something happens unexpected we will have President Hillary in place next year. All of the hoopla is just a show - the handwriting is on the wall. And that's not the worst part.

Bush finished 4th tonight. OOO I'm so scared.

Trump has more money than all the "big money" combined. Bush is finished.

Respectfully, I couldn't disagree more. I like Jeb as much as the next millionaire. I voted for his brother and his dad and would happily vote for Jeb too if he makes the cut.

But if you COMBINE His latest support percentages (4.9%) WITH Carson (7.8%), Christie (3.1%), Kasich (3.1%) and Florina (2.3%) then at that point Jeb Bush would barely edge out Marco Rubio (at 15.7%)

All of that is fine and good until you remember that Rubio is only in THIRD place at 15.7%! To proceed as the Republican candidate, Jeb has to not only beat Rubio who is on the rise, but then also beat Cruz who has been strongly seated in 2nd place for months. If he happens to accomplish those herculean tasks... then there is The Donald who currently has a STRONGER poll percentage than Cruz and Rubio combined!! The math simply does not add up in my mind.

If I were a betting man, I would bet the farm that Trump gets the nod from the elephants in the room.

Post Wrong impression... spartanfan
I don't want to leave a wrong impression. I am not a fan of the Bush or Clinton families. I was just stating the sad reality of the spiritual condition of our nation. When the "root of all evil" rules a nation then you get what we've got - in order to win you have to be bought by those who protect "big oil" and are moving things along toward a global economy controlled by them. You can run against them but you can't win. Look for things coming out to cast a negative shadow over the character of guys like Cruz and Rubio (who I don't think are in their pocket yet but might end up there) so that surprise, surprise!- it's Clinton vs. Bush in the end. It would be so nice if I were wrong but looking back over the Presidential politics of my lifetime - that's the way it always is. Maybe that's why Jesus let the Romans have it all and just focused on getting people saved. Unless the nation is changed "one sinner at a time" then it will continue to be ruled by the love of money. That is exactly the right question to ask me. It also reveals why I don't make promises or definitive statements and instead leave just a little "wiggle room" for change.

In my opinion the Clintons got a little too big for their britches as far as the "money people" were concerned during the campaign of 2008 and to teach them a lesson as to who is really in control, they brought a man they had been grooming since college years into the picture and withdrew their contributions from Hillary and started throwing their money and control of the press and all of their support behind him and taught Bill and Hillary a lesson - that without their backing they are nothing and can be defeated by a nobody.

Then after they clipped her wings - they threw Hillary a bone and made her Secretary of State (to restore some reputation) and let her know that if she got back in line - they'd give her another chance.... but this time she is 100% in their pocket on everything. That explains Obama's rocket-fast rise from a nobody to the throne.

So, in essence, they had 2 democratic candidates in their pocket and chose to power Obama into leadership of the party to show the Clintons and anyone else thereafter "who's really the boss."

If this FBI thing on the emails can gain traction like it would if it were anybody except their "man (or woman in this case)" - then they have someone waiting in the wings to propel like they did Obama. But they have to make sure they have their republican like Bush (or someone who is in their pocket that we aren't aware of - you know, a real good actor or hypocrite)-ready if they need him.

The chances of us getting what we really want - someone with their primary allegiance to God and not men - will take a miracle. And who among the candidates really resonates with Godly character? As a Christian - I lean toward Cruz and then Rubio (with reservations). Some character assassination will no doubt be coming soon if either one of them is still beating Bush after Nevada. But in the end I expect both the Democrat and Republican running in the general election to be someone who is controlled by the big money folks. When Hillary was running behind in Iowa and Rothschild showed up on CNN in support of her saying "she's the most honest politician I've known in 20 years" - I knew that the trillionaires were getting involved big time. The Rothschilds lay low - you hardly ever see them doing a news interview- something is up. Money is the root of all evil.
